If you reside in the European Union (“EU”), United Kingdom, Lichtenstein, Norway, Iceland or Switzerland, you may have additional rights with respect to your Personal Information, including rights under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), as outlined below in the section titled, “Privacy Rights of Users in the European Economic Area (EEA)“.
What Information We Collect:
We may also collect Personal Information that you submit to us voluntarily when you interact with the Services or correspond with us via email or the contact feature on our Websites. We may combine your Personal Information with information we receive offline, such as when you interact with our customer service group, or that we obtain through third party sources.
You can always decline to provide any Personal Information to us—it is your choice, and you are under no obligation to provide Personal Information to us. However, if you decide not to provide such Personal Information, then you may not be able to use or purchase the Services. At any point, you may access, review, and modify your Personal Information from your account, or by contacting us as stated in the “How to Contact Us” section below.
Non-personal information and Cookies — As part of the standard operation of our Websites, we may passively collect certain non-personal information from you including, but not limited to: your browser type (e.g., Firefox or Internet Explorer), operating system (e.g., Windows or Macintosh), Internet Service Provider (“ISP”), IP address, web sites visited and the domain name from which you accessed our Websites (e.g., yahoo.com). In addition, we may collect information about your browsing behavior, such as the date and time you visited our Websites, the areas or pages of our Website that you visit, the amount of time spent viewing our Websites, the number of times you return to our Website and other click-stream data.
Like most websites we may also use “cookies” which are bits of information (small text files) that are stored on a visitor’s hard drive and enables the server to recognize your computer when it visits again. Cookies enable us to track statistical information about navigation to and throughout certain areas of our Websites. Cookies also help us learn how groups of people use our Websites, and help us collect information to track usage patterns, browsing behavior and assess web content and structure. You can choose to have your computer alert you when a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off such cookies through your browser settings. How and Why We Use Personal Information: The Personal Information that you provide to Groupmatics may be used, processed and stored by us for the following purposes: (i) to respond to your comments, requests for information and inquiries; (ii) to permit access to our Websites and Services; (iii) to administer your account and verify your identity; (iv) to process your orders/purchases; (v) to provide/fulfill the Services and customer support; (vi) to communicate with you about the Services; (viii) for administrative purposes.
If you voluntarily submit your email address to receive information, we may subsequently issue Service related information to you via email, including technical advisories. If, at any time after registering, you change your mind about receiving Groupmatics emails, you can “opt out” via the “opt out” link included in each email. You should also be aware that any Personal Information or other information that is voluntarily posted by you to a public area of our Websites may be viewed and used by other users.
Security of Collected Information: To help protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your Personal Information, Groupmatics and its hosting vendor employ reasonable security measures and technology to help prevent interference or access from unauthorized persons including, without limitation, physical access controls and Internet firewalls. Please note, however, that we cannot, and we do not believe anyone can, genuinely guarantee or warrant absolute, 100% security of Personal Information disclosed or transmitted via the Internet to us or a third-party, nor can we fully eliminate risks of unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure and other factors that may compromise the security of your Personal Information at any time. Consequently, you provide your Personal Information and other information to us at your own risk and absent our gross negligence, you agree to not hold Groupmatics responsible for the theft, destruction, loss, misuse, alteration, damage or inadvertent disclosure of your Personal Information or other data under our control. Remember to close your browser window when you are finished using our Websites to ensure that others cannot pose as you online.
Privacy Rights of Users in the European Economic Area (EEA): Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”), effective as of May 25, 2018, European Union data subjects are entitled to certain specific rights with respect to processing of their personal data/Personal Information including, in certain circumstances, the right to:
- Request access to your Personal Information held by us;
- Request the correction of Personal Information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unnecessary or outdated;
- Request erasure of your Personal Information within a reasonable period of time, however we may be unable to erase all Personal Information if it is impossible due to limitations of technology or if we are mandated by applicable law to retain the Personal Information;
- Object to the processing of your Personal Information, including the right to opt-out of receiving direct marketing, however we will continue to use Personal Information for the limited purpose of communicating important notices to you relating to purchases, changes to Services or policies, and other reasons permitted by law;
- Request restriction of the processing of your Personal Information for certain reasons such as inaccuracy of the information;
- Request to receive your Personal Information in order to transfer it to another data controller and the same will be provided in a structured, secure, commonly used and machine-readable format;
- Withdraw your consent to the use of your Personal Information, at any time; and

Children’s Privacy Rights: In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), Groupmatics does not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not provide us with any Personal Information. If we learn that we have inadvertently obtained Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe that a child under the age of 13 has submitted Personal Information to us, the parent or guardian of that child should contact us as stated in the “How to Contact Us” section below.
California Privacy Rights: California Civil Code Sections 1798.83-1798.84, permit users of our Websites and Services who are California residents to request the categories of Personal information which we share with our affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes, if any, and the contact information for such affiliates and/or third parties.
